My youth was spent in the Appalachian foothills of the New Jersey Highlands. My father was an electrician and my mother was a computer administrator at the local college. These professions coupled with the isolation of a remote horse farm ensured technology was a cornerstone of my adolescence. Throughout college, I surrounded myself with artists and computer scientists as their work facinated me. After graduating, I set off into the world as a copywriter.
Wanting to obtain more technical skills, I took a position as a back-end data manager. At the time, I didn’t think that it would be my stepping stone into a new career. I sought to increase my abilities further by enrolling in Rutgers Full Stack Development program. I love solving problems and love the solutions development can bring. I relish in the creativity that can come from understanding structures and how to work around their limitations.
Outside of work, I spend the majority of my free time with my wife and daughters. I enjoy terrible movies, terrible food, and premium single malt scotch. To me, a good time lounging around with friends is best, but I will never turn down the adventure of overnight backpacking or taking a road trip into the great American wilderness.
I solve your problems. I help you create. I use my skills to compose your ideas.
I will take your needs, at any level, and make a plan from conceptualization, to minimum viable product, to future features. All the while planning for every eventuality, delay, and issue that may come up in the process. This is Coatesmode.
Concieve, Plan, Execute.

“Take your idea and hit it with a sledgehammer, it's going to shake off the weaker connected ideas, but if it still stands, you have a foundation for something that will work.” ~ Mel Brooks
